2 Young Mothers Breastfeed Each Other’s Babies After Making Unusual Agreement On Facebook (Video)
Stefani and Chrystal, two 23-year-old moms from Connecticut, met on Facebook in 2010. The newfound friends made an unusual arrangement when Chrystal’s daughter, Ariana, was 10 months old.
Whenever Chrystal would head into work, Stefani would feed both her own 2-year-old son, Gage, and Chrystal’s daughter. Alternatively, whenever Stefani would go out for a night on the town, Chrystal would return the favor by nursing Gage.
It got to the point where Stefani was breastfeeding Ariana up to six times per week — and Chrystal insisted she was happy to have her friend continue wet-nursing Ariana until she weaned
The women recognize that some outsiders may find their cross-feeding setup unnatural, but as they explain in the video, this is just what works for them (and most importantly, what works for their children).
