“The camera recorded what this priest does at night with the nun. The Convent of St. Augustine stands majestically amid sprawling green fields, an emblem of peace and tranquility.
Within its walls, nuns devote their lives to prayer, offering solace to the wounded souls that find refuge here. Among them is Mary, a young woman with raven-black hair and expressive eyes which lately are often brimming with tears.
Father Gabriel, a tall and gentle priest with kind eyes, notices Mary’s anguish. It’s during evening Vespers that he sees her knelt in prayer, her slender shoulders trembling. Recognizing the depth of her pain, Father Gabriel approaches her. “Child,” he begins, his voice soft as a whisper, “is there a weight on your heart you wish to share?”
