Trump Explodes in Late-Night Rant Over Sentencing Order: ‘No President Has Ever Faced Such Evil Treatment
President-elect Donald Trump expressed his anger on Truth Social after being ordered to appear in court next week for a sentencing hearing related to his criminal hush money case. Trump criticized New York Judge Juan Merchan and other figures, accusing them of being part of a political attack against him.
On Friday, the court ordered Trump to attend the hearing. The next day, Trump took to Truth Social to declare his innocence. He claimed that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were somehow involved in all the legal cases he has faced. He argued that these cases were politically motivated attempts to hurt him.
Under Judge Merchan’s supervision, Trump was found guilty of falsifying business records. The case involved allegations that Trump tried to hide an affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels by making hush money payments. Trump has denied both the payments and the affair, insisting he knew nothing about it.
Trump also mentioned another case involving writer E. Jean Carroll. In 2023, a jury in New York found him responsible for sexual abuse and defamation against Carroll. She accused Trump of assaulting her in a department store in the 1990s. Trump claims he never met her, saying their only interaction was in a brief photo from years ago.
In a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump blasted the justice system, calling the charges against him fake and accusing Judge Merchan of being corrupt. He wrote:
“I never falsified business records. This is a made-up charge by a corrupt judge working for the Biden/Harris DOJ. They’re attacking me, their political opponent. The judge created a case out of nothing and put a gag order on me, so I can’t defend myself publicly. Even the Fake News won’t report on how unfair this is.
The accountant in the case confirmed everything was done legally. The so-called falsifying of records claim is nonsense. Nothing was hidden; everything was transparent. Legal experts agree this case has no merit. The judge should be disbarred for this corruption, which is why people and businesses are leaving New York.
In another corrupt case, a different judge ridiculously undervalued my Mar-a-Lago property at $18 million when it’s worth 50 to 100 times more. And then there’s the woman I never met (a 30-year-old photo doesn’t count!) who was awarded nearly $100 million by a biased judge. All these cases are politically motivated attacks, with the Biden/Harris DOJ involved.”
Trump continued to claim that he is the most unfairly treated president in U.S. history. He wrote:
“No president has ever been treated as unfairly and illegally as I have. Corrupt Democrat judges and prosecutors are targeting me, their political opponent, with levels of injustice never seen before.”
Trump also attacked Special Counsel Jack Smith, who was involved in investigating him, and the FBI’s raid on his Mar-a-Lago property. The raid was conducted to retrieve allegedly classified documents Trump took with him after leaving the White House. Trump described the raid as one of the dirtiest political tricks in history. He wrote:
“Corrupt judges blinded by their hatred for me and my MAGA vision are destroying the U.S. judicial system. The world is watching in disgust. Deranged Jack Smith was illegally appointed by Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ to take me down. His charges against me have all been dropped or dismissed. The raid on my home, Mar-a-Lago, will go down as one of the worst political stunts ever pulled. Even with all this, I have faith that the higher courts will bring justice to America.”
Trump was originally supposed to be sentenced on November 26, but the hearing was delayed by Judge Merchan. It is now scheduled for January 10, just ten days before Trump’s planned inauguration. Trump’s legal battles have become a central focus as he prepares to assume office again, and he continues to claim these cases are part of a political conspiracy against him.
