President-elect Donald Trump criticized NBC’s late-night host Seth Meyers on his social media platform after watching a recent episode of his show.
Meyers, who has frequently joked about Trump over the years, recently mocked his remarks about the California wildfires. Meyers said, “After four years of Joe Biden’s occasional senior moments, it’s refreshing to have ‘Kid Science’ tell us rain comes from clouds. Dude, even God would tell you that. Rain doesn’t come from Heaven, you doink!”
He also poked fun at Trump’s past ideas, like buying Greenland and Canada or renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.”
Early Tuesday, Trump took to Truth Social to criticize Meyers, calling him untalented and insulting NBC. He wrote:
“How bad is Seth Meyers on NBC? A network run by terrible people—remember, they also run MSDNC. I accidentally watched Marble Mouth Meyers the other night for the first time in months, and every time I do, I’m reminded how dumb and untalented he is. He’s just a filler for the scum at Comcast. These people should pay big money for their constant political attacks on me and the Republican Party. This isn’t entertainment; it’s propaganda. Comcast should face consequences for this!”
Trump has often targeted networks like NBC, accusing them of bias and threatening action against them when he regains power. He has even called for NBC to be investigated for “treason” over its coverage of his legal troubles.
