A little after 12 PM Eastern Time, Donald Trump made a post on his Truth Social account. In the post, he talked about how he had ordered a military attack in another country less than two weeks after he became president.
He didn’t share many specific details about the attack, but he used the opportunity to criticize the current president, Joe Biden, and his administration.
Trump wrote, “This morning, I gave the order for precise military air strikes in Somalia. The target was a high-ranking ISIS attack planner and the group of terrorists he had recruited and was leading. These terrorists were hiding in caves and were planning to harm the United States and our allies. They were a serious threat.”
He went on to say, “The air strikes successfully destroyed the caves where the terrorists were hiding and killed many of them. Importantly, no civilians were hurt in the operation. Our military had been tracking this ISIS planner for years, but under Biden’s leadership, they didn’t act quickly enough to take him out. When I was in charge, I made sure it got done.”
Trump ended his post with a strong and direct message to ISIS and anyone else who might try to harm Americans. He said, “This is a warning to ISIS and all others who think they can attack us: WE WILL FIND YOU, AND WE WILL KILL YOU!”
