Anthony Scaramucci, who once worked closely with Donald Trump, has said that the former president is “unwell” and has warned UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to be careful when dealing with him.

Scaramucci was Trump’s communications director for a short time but later became one of his biggest critics. He used to support Trump, especially during his first presidential campaign and the early days of his administration, but after leaving the White House, he changed his opinion and started speaking out against him.

Over the years, Scaramucci has repeatedly warned about the dangers of Trump returning to power. Now that Trump is back in office, Scaramucci is concerned about the impact on the relationship between the United States and Europe. He believes that Trump could disrupt international relations and has specifically advised Starmer to be cautious when meeting him.

During an interview on the Off Air… with Jane and Fi podcast, Scaramucci made it clear that he believes Trump is not mentally fit. He said, “Trump clearly has something wrong with him. I would tell Keir Starmer that the guy is unwell, and he’s surrounded by people who are pretending that nothing is wrong.”

Scaramucci suggested that Starmer should be polite and offer some flattery if necessary but should try to keep his distance. He warned that getting too close to Trump could be dangerous. “Stay away from him if you can. He harms everyone around him. Even his own family and staff don’t like him, but they stay close because of his power,” he said. Scaramucci believes that Trump’s influence will eventually fade and that the UK should not get too caught up in dealing with him. “In a few years, Trump will be gone, and the UK will still be here,” he added.

To support his claim that Trump is unwell, Scaramucci pointed to a recent video Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social. The video was created using artificial intelligence and showed Trump developing land in Gaza. Scaramucci found this disturbing and said that anyone who watches it would see that something isn’t right. “You don’t need to be an intelligence expert from MI6 or the CIA to see that something is wrong with him,” he said. He compared Trump’s behavior to a football player breaking a leg, explaining that just like you don’t need to be a doctor to recognize a broken bone, you don’t need to be an expert to see that Trump is not mentally well.

This isn’t the first time Trump and Scaramucci have clashed. Back in 2019, not long after Scaramucci left the White House, Trump attacked him on Twitter. He called him an incompetent employee who was fired after only 11 days and said that Scaramucci only gets attention because he talks about Trump on television. Trump also mocked him by saying, “Anthony, who would do anything to come back in, should remember the only reason he is on TV, and it’s not for being the Mooch!”

Scaramucci has explained in the past why he turned against Trump. In 2020, he told The Guardian that Trump personally attacked his wife during a difficult time in their marriage. He said, “Once he attacked my wife, I decided to fight back. He knew we were having marital issues in 2017, yet he still went after her on Twitter. That’s low. After that, I started exposing him.”

Scaramucci remains one of Trump’s most vocal critics and continues to warn people, including world leaders, to be cautious when dealing with him.
