24-Year-Old Flight Attendant at Air Albania Collapses and Dies Suddenly from Heart Attack Shortly After Landing in London

A member of the Air Albania cabin crew collapsed and died suddenly last week following a heart attack on a flight from Tirana, Albania to London.

According to the airline, Greta Dyrmishi, who was 24 years old, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 21, due to a heart attack shortly after landing at Stansted Airport in London, England.

“On December 21, after we disembarked all the passengers of the flight to London, one of the members of the cabin crew, Greta Dyrmishi, suffered a heart attack,” Air Albania said in a statement..

“Even after all the medical assistance offered at the moment, we still lost him. Air Albania has contacted her family from the first moments and we continue to be by their side in these difficult moments.”

“Out of respect for Greta and her family, we decided to share the news with the public at the most appropriate moment. We will always remember Greta as a passionate professional, an excellent colleague and a very good friend to all of us.”

“With the belief that today she is among the mercy of God, Air Albania will continue to stand by her family,” the post concluded.

Following reports that a woman was in critical condition, the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust confirmed that a total of six emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene: two ambulances, a hazardous area response team vehicle, an ambulance officer vehicle, and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance. Officers from the Essex Police Department were also present, Bishop Stortford reported.

“The Indie was told the aircraft touched down at around 1 pm as scheduled and after efforts to save her life at Stansted, the ambulance service took Ms Dyrmishi to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow,” the outlet added.
