Elizaveta Krivonogikh, a 22-year-old woman widely rumored to be the secret daughter of Russian president Vladimir Putin, has publicly spoken out against a man she says destroyed her life and caused harm to millions of others.

Although the Russian government has never confirmed her connection to Putin, various investigations and reports suggest she is the daughter of Putin and a woman named Svetlana Krivonogikh, who is believed to have had an affair with him in the early 2000s. At the time, Putin was still married to his now ex-wife, Lyudmila.

Elizaveta has used different names in the past to hide her identity. According to reports, one of her pseudonyms was Elizaveta Olegovna Rudnova. The middle name “Olegovna” means “daughter of Oleg,” which some believe refers to Oleg Rudnov, a now-deceased close associate of Putin. Rudnov was said to have managed sensitive personal matters for Putin, including purchasing property for people close to him, like Svetlana Krivonogikh.

Recently, Elizaveta made a rare and emotional post on a private Telegram channel. She shared a selfie and wrote a message about reclaiming her identity. In her words, she said it felt freeing to show her face again and mentioned that it reminded her of who she truly is and the man who ruined her life. Without naming anyone, she referred to “the man who took millions of lives and who destroyed mine,” which many believe is a reference to Putin, especially given the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Elizaveta was last reported to be living in Paris and working at an art gallery. Her alleged connection to Putin caused controversy there, leading one artist to cut ties with the gallery, saying it was unacceptable for someone connected to the Russian leader to be working there.

In response to that backlash, Elizaveta defended herself, saying she shouldn’t be blamed for the actions of her family—especially people who, in her words, “can’t even hear me,” suggesting a complete lack of relationship or communication with them.

While the Kremlin continues to stay silent on whether Elizaveta is Putin’s daughter, the Russian president is officially recognized as having only two daughters: Maria and Katerina.
