Late-night noise, fence conflicts, and parking space feuds are all signs of a nightmare neighbor, who may quickly turn yours forever home into hell. The woman took to TikTok’s @michellemeleskie account to convey her embarrassment, saying, “I just found out that I am the neighbor from hell and I feel horrible.”

Michelle’s kind neighbor had contacted her to alert her to commotion coming from her apartment, concerned for her safety, but Michelle didn’t read it or answer until the next morning. “I went out last night and I woke up to an email from my neighbor at approximately 9.45, saying ‘Hey Michelle, your fire alarm has been going off for hours now and your light’s on, so I’m scared that you’re home and that there’s been an accident,” she stated.

Michelle was unaware of the loud alarm ringing in her home since she was not checking her emails at the time. After hearing no response, the neighbor became concerned and called the police, assuming Michelle was in danger. Fortunately, another neighbor had a key to the unit and opened it while they were on the phone with the cops. A search of the apartment showed that Michelle had not been injured – or even at home.

My neighbor actually just removed my fire alarm off my ceiling so it doesn’t go off in the middle of the night,” Michelle explained. “But it supposedly went off for about 5 hours, and the noise is just irritating – I feel bad. And I’m simply like, I’m the person you b**ch about to your buddies “She stated. Her guilt did not end there, as the neighbor wrote Michelle another email explaining what had happened.

“It was simply like, ‘I’m glad you’re okay,’” Michelle said. “She was actually worried about me!” People in her comments were quick to reassure Michelle that she was not a nightmare neighbor because the disruption was unintentional. “I mean, you would be if you were there and let it run for hours,” one person wrote.

But you weren’t there, therefore you’re not the neighbor from hell.” “This… is not being the neighbor from hell… they would be intentionally creating loud noise at 3 pm or something ish like that,” another agreed, while another retorted that she was “only the neighbor from hell if [she] did it intentionally.”
