Donald Trump Fears Looming Threat That Could Destroy His Presidency—CNN Reporter Sounds Alarm!

Harry Enten, a senior political data reporter at CNN, recently spoke about a major issue that could cause serious trouble for Donald Trump’s presidency. He didn’t hold back and made it clear that if Trump isn’t careful, this problem could destroy his time in office. According to Enten, the same issue had already caused a lot of problems for Joe Biden’s administration.

During a recent discussion, Enten talked about inflation and how it played a huge role in making Biden’s presidency difficult. He said, “Inflation crushed Joe Biden’s presidency, it completely took over and made things worse. If Donald Trump doesn’t pay attention, inflation will do the same to him.” He stressed that this is something Americans care about deeply, and they expect Trump to take it seriously.

He explained that people across the country want Trump to focus on fixing inflation because it is directly affecting their daily lives. “That is the number one thing Americans want him to work on,” Enten said. “They want him to come up with solutions to bring down prices and get the economy back on track.”

Enten then pointed out that a recent poll showed more than 55 percent of voters want Trump to concentrate on either fixing inflation or improving the U.S. economy in general. He made it clear that no matter what poll you look at, the economy remains the biggest concern for most people. “It doesn’t matter which survey you check—at the end of the day, what matters most to Americans is the economy,” he said.

He went on to reveal another concerning poll result. According to the numbers, two-thirds of voters feel that Trump is not paying enough attention to this problem. What makes this even more surprising is that 48 percent of those voters are Republicans, meaning even people from his own party don’t think he is handling the issue properly. “They believe Trump is not keeping his focus on the right thing,” Enten explained.

He also pointed out that Americans are well aware that the economy has not improved. He shared data showing that back in November 2020, around 49 percent of voters thought the economy was in good shape. By November 2024, that number had dropped to just 32 percent. The most recent poll results were even worse—only 27 percent of voters said they believe the economy is doing well. This means that just one out of four people think things are improving, while the rest feel that the economy is still struggling.

Enten then gave a serious warning, saying that if inflation continues to be a major problem and Trump does not do something about it, his approval rating will go down. “If this number doesn’t go up, Donald Trump’s popularity will definitely take a hit,” he cautioned.

To wrap up his discussion, Enten repeated his initial warning to make sure his point was clear. He said again, “Inflation was the reason Joe Biden’s presidency suffered. It crushed it completely. If things don’t change, inflation will do the same thing to Donald Trump’s second term. It will take over, and it will crush it.”

His strong warning came just as Donald Trump was seen shifting the blame for inflation onto his predecessor, Joe Biden. Instead of addressing the problem himself, Trump seemed to dismiss any responsibility. This attitude didn’t sit well with many people, and it sparked a lot of criticism online. Several people took to the internet to express their frustration, saying that Trump should focus on solving the issue instead of blaming others. Many felt that ignoring inflation would only make things worse and could ultimately hurt Trump’s presidency in the long run.
