A shocking cellphone video captured a male lawyer assaulting a female attorney in the middle of a road in Brazil after their pet dogs were involved in a fight.
The chaotic footage showed Cledmylson Ferreira charging out of his vehicle and going after Gizelle Piza on Monday in Brasília.
The incident unfolded when Piza was walking her dog and spotted Ferreira and his pet while he was sitting at a restaurant eating a meal. She noticed that Ferreira’s dog didn’t have its leash on and pulled her dog back, but couldn’t not prevent Ferreira’s pet from lunging at hers.
A furious Ferreira could be seen knocking down Piza’s phone and then shoving his hands into her face before she slapped him several times.
He then grabbed both of her hands and punched her. Piza somehow managed to defended herself by scratching him across the face before he grabbed her by the hair and flung her to the ground.
Ferreira was about to drive away when he noticed that Piza, who is also a lawyer, was making a recording of his car’s license plates after she had called the police.
‘The dog bit and scratched me. I suspended my dog so he wouldn’t be attacked anymore and walked away,’ Piza told O Globo newspaper.
‘He continued eating lunch as if nothing had happened. I asked if he was aware of a district law that requires, in places with large circulation of people, that dogs walk with a leash, and the most violent (wear) a muzzle.’
‘When he got in the car to leave, he put his dog in the back seat. I went to film the license plate and he tried to run me over, accelerated the car in reverse. I went to the side and that’s when he got out of the car and started hitting me.’
Piza, who said she was ‘extremely shaken and baffled’ by the attack, was also seen in the video getting inside Ferreira’s car as he was getting ready to drive off again.
She stood in the vehicle for a couple of seconds and then stepped out as Ferreira followed her out to continue to argue.
Ferreira was arrested on the scene and charged with assault, not using caution while walking his dog and for possession of a bladed weapon.
He was released under his own recognizance the same day.
