Of course, the duo never expected to find anything other than old dirt and worms in their backyard. But as you might have guessed from the title, that is exactly what happened and ended up changing their lives.
One fine summer day, while preparing a small garden bed in her backyard, Kate found a coin tossed in the dirt. At first, she might have thought it was a normal coin and hoped to buy herself a treat or two.
Unfortunately, or more appropriately, fortunately, it wasn’t. She could feel the rough edges of the coin, and it even weighed strange.
