On what should have been an ordinary flight from Madrid to New York, things took an unexpected turn when Denise was mocked by a man because of her black skin.
The situation quickly escalated, involving the entire flight. However, neither of them knew who was sitting behind them.
Denise and her daughter, Fiona, stood beside each other as they were checked through security. They had their tickets in hand as their luggage was run through the scanner.
