This dog always slept in bed with his owner two were inseparable wherever the man went he could also find his sweet four-legged friend.
He thought he knew his dog inside out but he made a big mistake because his dog had a big surprise in store for his owner, that night seemed to go just like any other night bentley the dog first got into bed as he usually did he lay down and then john his owner as usual placed a blanket over him.
He always thought it was a cute image but he would soon realize that it wouldn’t always be that way john sat down next to bentley and got under the covers himself usually they both fall asleep quickly and there was no rest this particular night, because bentley was up to something you woke up and did something completely unexpected.
Bentley had been the faithful four-legged friend of his 67 year old owner john for five years the two had been close friends especially since the owner’s wife had died he always looked to the animal for comfort those were sad years for the man but fortunately the dog had made sure the house didn’t get lonely and that meant a lot to john the animal was the only thing that could bring a smile to his face.
Bentley and john were truly inseparable until that very night everything would change it was the day before christmas and john went to celebrate the holiday alone with bentley the two were always together and the owner thought it was more than nice he was very attached to his four-legged friend and vice versa and on christmas eve was no different.
The two best friends were watching tv together on the couch and it was getting late come on buddy let’s go to bed john whispered half asleep to his four-legged friend the two climbed the stairs in silence and bentley jumped straight into bed but the owner had no idea what was about to happen john brushed his teeth and went into the bedroom and there was bentley already half snoring in bed.
the man quickly put on his pajamas and lay down next to them there were many of john’s friends who thought it was strange to let their dog sleep in his bed like that but he didn’t listen to them, bentley made their home a warm place and that’s what mattered most the light went out and they both fell asleep but when jon woke up the next day bentley was suddenly gone john was suddenly wide awake where had his big four-legged friend gone this was the first time in a long time that bentley had not been by his side.
