“The door of the beauty salon opened, and a modestly dressed young woman named Natalie walked in. The receptionist squinted and rolled her eyes, showing that she was disgusted with the visitor.
The young woman nevertheless came to her desk, and the salon employee had to put the phone away. “Do you have an appointment?” she asked for the sake of propriety, looking in the register. There weren’t many clients signed up in advance, and the receptionist was well aware that this young, but apparently not wealthy, woman was not signed up anywhere.
“Isn’t it possible to do without an appointment?” the customer clarified, looking at the one vacant chair. “We only have two hairstylists working today,” answered the receptionist, disgruntled. “You can see that everyone is busy. If you have time, then you may wait until someone will be free.”
Natalie noticed that one of the hairdressers had already finished cutting and styling hair. It seemed that she would not have to wait long, and if they offered to wait, it meant that the next client would not be here for a long time. The woman said that she would wait, and the receptionist shrugged and went back to her phone without even offering the visitor to sit down.
