Dr. Anthony Fauci is well-known after the COVID crisis of 2020. He is respected by some but hated by many as a result of his actions during the crisis.
Fauci was the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) when COVID reached American shores, a role he had been in for four decades since 1984. Fauci is well known for his actions during COVID. He was full of contradictions. He initially said the crisis was no big deal then he became an alarmist warning of its deadliness.
Fauci recommended for shutdowns to stop the spread. This never worked but did destroy the economy for a time. Fauci’s shutdowns also impacted children at that time who were kept out of school and forced to work from home and when they were let back into the schools, they were forced to wear masks. There was no reason for children to change any actions as a result of COVID because they were virtually immune, something we reported on as early as March 2020.
We have no idea of the long-term consequences to these children and society at large.
Fauci promoted masks, and social distancing and then pushed vaccines. Many have argued that these actions were destructive and the wrong things to do and may have cost hundreds of thousands of lives.
Bobby Kennedy, Jr. wrote a book about Fauci “The Real Dr. Fauci“, where he described in detail the many actions Fauci took over his decades in service as the Director of the NIAID. Back in April 2020, Kennedy reported that Fauci and Bill Gates were going to make billions on a COVID vaccine.
Fauci made lots of money as the Head of the NIAID as well and was expected to make a record-setting retirement despite many believing he should have been facing legal consequences surrounding his actions surrounding COVID.
It was reported in August 2022 that Fauci would be stepping down at the end of the year. In October Dr. Fauci sat down with ABC’s Jonathan Karl who called Fauci an “icon”. They discussed his stepping down as the Director of NIAID at the end of the year.
Last night Fauci was on 60 Minutes. This was his grand finale. CBS reported on this interview and ended with this:
Dr. Fauci spoke directly, in language the average American could understand. And he wasn’t afraid of a little controversy in the service of science and medicine.
As of Monday, January 2, 2023, NIAID’s website still lists Dr. Fauci as the director of the agency. They haven’t even updated his retirement yet.
There are no parades for Fauci. His usefulness has ended. He is no longer needed. Move along.
