Struggling grandma working as bartender & raising triplets all alone finds a note and a huge tip on the table
Life can get really hard at times, but one thing that we should never forget is to never give
Shiela Weisgerber has been working as a bartender and led a quiet life. However, after her daughter fell pregnant with triplets while already taking care of a young baby, Shiela’s live changed completely.
As her daughter couldn’t possibly raise triplets on her own, she thought about giving the boys up for adoption once they were born. For things to get even tougher, the babies’ father died a couple of months before they were born.
The thought of strangers taking care of her three grandsons bothered Shiela so she decided to take them and raise them herself.
”At first it was very overwhelming,” she told ABC News. ”And, at first I thought I bit off more than I could chew.”
Being a grandmother of three baby boys wasn’t easy as there were times when she could barely make ends meet, but she never gave up trying to provide them with the best life possible.
What’s most, she was so enchanted with her grandsons’ bubbly personalities that she couldn’t stop sharing stories about the things they did with her coworkers.
One day, while on the job, someone asked Shiela about the boys, Bentley, Ashton, and Dalton, and she told them their life story.
At the time, there was a couple there who heard Shiela’s story. They were deeply touched and decided to do something nice for this struggling grandmother so on their $33 tab, they added a tip of $300 along with the message, ”Take care of those boys!”
Shiela couldn’t believe her eyes. She was so moved by the kind gesture that she rushed to the bathroom and started crying.
”I looked at it, and I looked at it again. You read stuff about it, and you hear about it, and you wonder, ‘Is that really true? Do people really do that?” she said
Shiela then posted a photo of the receipt and wrote, ”I went to the bathroom and I cried and I was blown away because to me that’s a lot of money.”
To her surprise, her post vent viral in a matter of days and it affected the entire community in a positive way.
The owner of the bar where Shiela works wrote, ”The last few months have been really hard with random deaths around here.
