It seems that sometimes animals feel and see much more than humans. This unusual wolf refused to leave the dead girl. Doctors had to intervene in this case. They soon discovered the shocking and terrible truth.
When everyone saw the beautiful Julia in her wedding dress lying in a coffin, they began to cry. People were supposed to watch a girl walk down the aisle, glowing and happy on her wedding day, but instead, they ended up at her funeral. Suddenly, a wolf ran into the room, jumped straight into the coffin, and refused to budge. It annoyed John terribly; he asked the wolf to leave, but it did not react at all to his words.
John suddenly remembered the moment he first met Julia. She loved the forest and went for walks very often. Here, she could breathe much easier after the suffocating city, which always aggravated her painful epilepsy. One day, when Julia was resting in a tent after a long hike, she heard an unpleasant creaking outside. She looked out and noticed a little puppy nearby, looking very weak and helpless. Kind Julia immediately rushed to the baby, but as soon as she took it in her arms, she realized that it was not a puppy at all, but a real wolf cub.
The girl grew tense, realizing the mother wolf might be near, as her behavior in this case would be unpredictable and extremely dangerous. However, several minutes passed, but the wolf did not appear, and the little cub continued to look at Julia with hungry, pleading eyes, silently squealing. Julia quickly realized the cub was in trouble and lost. It definitely wouldn’t survive in the wild without help.
Julia took the wolf cub home, where she gave him warm, nourishing milk, after which the baby soon fell asleep, curled up in a warm blanket. Julia knew she could not raise the cub on her own, as it would one day grow into a large, predatory beast. So, she brought the cub, whom she named Charlie, to the nearest wildlife nursery. There, a helpful employee named John promised they would take care of Charlie and allowed Julia to visit him several times a week.
Julia agreed happily, and whenever she had a free moment, she would visit the nursery to see the growing Charlie. Gradually, Julia became close not only to the wolf cub but also to John, with whom she shared a love for nature and animals. Together, they cared for Charlie, treating the growing wolf like a large dog, and the wolf returned their affection, grateful for his rescue.
One day, John asked Julia to marry him, and she happily agreed. They set a wedding date for the near future. Julia adored her wedding dress, in which she looked beautiful and sweet. But Julia’s illness destroyed all of their plans. When John returned home to his bride, he was horrified to find her lifeless body in bed. A doctor who arrived quickly confirmed that Julia had died, with the cause being her epilepsy. John could not hold back his tears, realizing that instead of the long-awaited wedding, he would have to bury his beloved bride. Heartbroken, John decided to dress Julia in her wedding gown, the one she had dreamed of wearing.
On the day of the funeral, John, like many others present, was devastated. Seeing his beautiful bride in a coffin, dressed in her wedding gown, was simply unbearable, and tears filled everyone’s eyes. Knowing that Charlie loved Julia deeply, John decided to let the wolf say his final goodbye to her. However, when Charlie entered the hall and saw Julia lying there, he behaved unexpectedly. The wolf ran to the open coffin, jumped in immediately, and categorically refused to leave.
Neither John nor the others could convince Charlie to leave Julia’s body. Sensing something was wrong, John called emergency services. The doctors, initially surprised, agreed to re-examine Julia’s body after John’s many requests. Suddenly, one of the doctors gasped and began whispering to his colleagues. They put Julia’s body on a stretcher, took her to an ambulance, and rushed her to the hospital, with a shocked John following closely behind.
In the intensive care unit, Julia was immediately treated. A doctor explained to John, in a trembling voice, that Julia had been wrongly pronounced dead. It turned out that Julia had catalepsy, a rare condition in which the person shows almost no signs of life. This is one of the rare symptoms associated with epilepsy, making the person appear deceased, with shallow breathing and a barely detectable heartbeat, and even causing the limbs to become rigid, resembling rigor mortis.
Fortunately, Charlie had sensed that Julia was still alive and prevented her from being buried alive. It took doctors several hours to revive her, but they eventually succeeded. Julia was relieved to learn that her brain hadn’t been damaged by oxygen deprivation. When John explained what had happened, she burst into tears, realizing she owed her life to the wolf who had sensed she was still alive.
Not long after, John and Julia got married, with Charlie, the faithful wolf, as the most honored guest at the wedding.
