According to wrestlingedge.com, former President Donald Trump recently made headlines with a post on his Truth Social platform, suggesting that California Governor Gavin Newsom may replace President Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket for the 2024 election. Trump’s post included a link to a Breitbart article about California’s railway, which he used to question Newsom’s qualifications for the presidency, stating, “…And this is who people are thinking about for President?”

While Trump’s post may be seen as an attempt to stir up controversy, many in the political sphere are focusing on potential candidates for the 2024 election. One such candidate is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has been making waves with his criticism of both Biden and Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020

As per NBC, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis previewed a line of attack against both the current U.S. President Joe Biden and the former U.S. President Donald Trump this Friday, deriding the federal response to Covid 19 in the first-in-the-nation presidential caucus state.

“We were right, they were wrong,” DeSantis boasted during what amounted to a stump speech before roughly 700 people in a spacious ballroom at the Rhythm City Casino Resort. In particular, he took aim at Anthony Fauci, the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who worked under both presidents as a top adviser on Covid and retired at the end of 2022″.

“We refused to let our state descend into some sort of Faucian dystopia,” DeSantis said.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has seemingly launched his presidential campaign for the 2024 election with a pair of speeches delivered at events in Davenport and Des Moines, the first-in-the-nation caucus state. Although he has not yet officially announced his candidacy, his remarks at these events were widely interpreted as a signal that he intends to run.

DeSantis used these speeches to attack progressive ideology on issues such as immigration, education, and gender identity. He also emphasized his belief that Florida is a bastion of conservative values, where progressive ideas go to “die.” These speeches mark DeSantis’ first public comments in Iowa as a likely candidate for the Republican nomination.
