Trump Throws A Fit, But Still Hasn’t Figured Out That Biden Outsmarted Him, You Won’t Believe How
Donald Trump is furious about Joe Biden’s last-minute environmental protections, but what he doesn’t realize is that he can’t easily reverse them.
Before leaving office, Biden used a 1953 law to block any expansion of offshore drilling in U.S. waters. This law doesn’t allow for a simple reversal by the next president, making it a clever and strategic move. Trump, however, believes he can just sign an executive order and undo everything, but it’s not that simple. Even if he tries, legal challenges would likely stop him.
During his rant on Truth Social, Trump accused Biden of making the transition to his presidency as difficult as possible. He called Biden’s actions part of the “Green New Scam” and promised to “terminate” these orders and bring back what he calls “common sense.” But experts say his claims don’t hold up.
If Trump tries to cancel Biden’s order, his administration will immediately face lawsuits, and the courts are unlikely to side with him. Biden, who confirmed a record number of federal judges during his presidency, has stacked the judiciary in favor of his policies.
On top of that, this issue was already settled in court during Barack Obama’s second term, meaning Trump is fighting an uphill battle. By the time any legal decision is made, his term could be over, and the next president—if a Democrat—could reinstate Biden’s ban.
Biden’s decades of experience in government give him an edge over Trump, who spent more time playing golf during his presidency than pushing policies through Congress. Biden’s move not only protects the environment but also complicates Trump’s agenda, leaving him frustrated and playing catch-up.
The truth is, Trump is ten steps behind. Biden outmaneuvered him, and Trump hasn’t even realized it yet. While Trump may rant and make promises, the reality is that reversing Biden’s actions will be much harder than he thinks.
