We Went to Bed And I Gave Him Explicit Signals But He Refused to Act on Them, But There Is More to It
Our initial encounter took place quite a while ago. He introduced himself as Andrews, and I reciprocated by sharing my name. Although we conversed and exchanged numbers, he never made the effort to call. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting his call as there was nothing about him that particularly appealed to me. When it came to providing my number, I did so reluctantly. Perhaps he sensed my hesitation and decided against reaching out. As I mentioned, I didn’t anticipate it anyway, so life carried on as usual.
Fate brought us together once more, in a rather peculiar manner. He claimed that the universe orchestrated our meeting to settle some unresolved matter. I responded, “Whatever that implies, I hope it’s a positive occurrence.” Late one evening, after concluding a program, I faced difficulty finding a taxi. Every cab I hailed declined my request, while those who agreed demanded exorbitant fares that put me off.
I resorted to calling an Uber. One driver cancelled, and the others did not respond. It seemed as though I might have to spend the night where the program was held, until finally, an Uber driver accepted my request. Approximately seven minutes later, I noticed a call from Andrews on my phone. I paused for a moment, trying to recall who Andrews was. I inquired, “Who is Andrews, and how is it that I have his number saved in my phone without remembering who he is?”
Curiosity piqued, I answered the call, and the voice on the other end said, “I’m nearby. Where are you?” I questioned, “Nearby where?
