The man picked up the stranger and took her to the hospital. Then the unthinkable happened!

Jack was returning home after visiting his parents, who lived in a small village. He headed towards the city, enjoying the peace and quiet of the road. Suddenly, in the distance, he noticed a lonely figure walking along the side of the road. It was a girl; her steps seemed tired, and her eyes seemed confused. Jack sensed that something was wrong and decided to stop to find out what it was.

When he approached the girl, she looked scared and helpless. Her eyes were full of fear, and her face was pale, as if she had experienced something terrible. “I… I don’t remember anything,” she said, trying to find the words. “I woke up in the forest, and I don’t know how I got here… All I remember is that I was walking through the forest and suddenly lost consciousness.”

Jack wasted no time. He quickly offered to help her and, despite her protests, carefully placed the girl in the car to take her to the hospital. At the hospital, doctors immediately began an examination, but everything was fine, and the doctors could not explain what happened to the girl. Jack stayed by her side to make sure she was okay.

A few days later, the girl felt better, but her memory was never restored. She only remembered her name—Lena. A week after this incident, a man came to the hospital looking a little worried and reserved. It was the girl’s husband. He introduced himself as Alexey, a businessman from the city. He said that a few days ago, Lena went for a walk in the forest and did not return. He began to worry and contacted the police, but even they could not find any trace of Lena.

Alexey was grateful to Jack for helping his wife and for taking her to the hospital. As a token of gratitude, Alexey offered Jack a large sum of money, but he refused. Then the businessman offered a different way of gratitude: he bought Jack a cozy apartment in the city center.

“You saved my wife, and I want you to be well provided for,” he said.

Jack was shocked by this proposal but agreed. He realized that he had done the right thing, and that helping a person in trouble was the main thing. Over time, when Lena regained her memory and the full circumstances of the incident became clear, Lena and her husband remained grateful to Jack for his help. Jack, having received a new life in the city center, was also grateful for the chance he had been given.
