After man threatened to kill Elon Musk, police searched his home and made a shocking discoveries

A 28-year-old man from Indiana has been arrested for allegedly making threats against billionaire Elon Musk, who is known for being close to Donald Trump.
The man, David Allen June Cherry, has been charged with intimidation, which is a serious crime in Indiana. The Indiana State Police shared news of his arrest on Facebook.
The investigation started early Tuesday when police in Texas told officers in Indiana about an account on X, formerly Twitter, linked to Cherry. Authorities say this account posted threats toward Musk earlier in the month.
Police arrested Cherry in Clarksville, a town near the Indiana-Kentucky border, without any problems. They took him to the Sellersburg State Police Post for questioning and later moved him to Harrison County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
After the arrest, investigators got a search warrant for Cherry’s home in Palmyra, Indiana. Inside, they found and took away an AR-15-style rifle, a handgun, ammunition, and a bulletproof vest.
Police have not revealed what Cherry said in his threats or whether he actually planned to act on them.
The details of his arrest report are not yet available, but legal experts say a level five intimidation charge in Indiana involves threatening to use a deadly weapon. If convicted, Cherry could face up to six years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
Elon Musk owns Tesla, SpaceX, and X, formerly Twitter. His public influence has grown due to his support for Donald Trump.
Musk was recently put in charge of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a program aimed at reducing government waste. Some people, especially Democrats, have raised concerns that Trump is giving Musk too much power.
Fourteen Democratic-led states tried to stop Musk and DOGE from accessing federal data and firing government employees, but a judge rejected their request on Tuesday. This means Musk can continue leading the program.
