Bannon Urges Trump to Revoke Soros’ Medal: ‘Rip It Off His Neck on Day One, You Won’t Believe Why
Steve Bannon, a strong supporter of Donald Trump, said that if Trump becomes president again, one of his first actions should be taking back the Presidential Medal of Freedom from George Soros. Bannon made these comments during his WarRoom podcast, where he criticized President Joe Biden for giving the award to Soros and others like Hillary Clinton, Denzel Washington, Michael J. Fox, and Anna Wintour.
Bannon and many conservatives were upset about Soros receiving the honor. Soros is a billionaire known for supporting liberal causes and donating large sums of money to political campaigns. On social media, conservatives expressed their frustration, claiming that Soros doesn’t deserve the medal. Bannon went further, calling Soros a “demonic individual” and even joking about holding an “exorcism” in the White House to cleanse it once Trump returns. He suggested bringing in religious leaders, like Catholic priests or Protestant ministers, to “drive out the demons.”
Beyond his dramatic comments, Bannon made a serious recommendation. He said Trump should issue an executive order to revoke Soros’s medal as soon as he takes office. Bannon argued that Soros has spent his life working against the United States and that giving him such a high honor insults the country and its Constitution. He described the medal as a symbol of respect and said it should not be given to someone like Soros.
Bannon even suggested Trump send a team to physically take the medal back from Soros, saying they should “rip it right off his neck.” He went on to say that the medal could be melted down and turned into pieces to give to the families of the 13 U.S. service members who died in the Kabul airport bombing during the Afghanistan withdrawal.
Although there is currently no official process for revoking a Presidential Medal of Freedom, Bannon dismissed the idea that it would be a problem. He urged Trump to act boldly, saying this move would show strength and stand as a powerful symbol of rejecting what Soros represents.
Bannon ended his rant by saying Trump needs to send a clear message. “If Biden wants to play tough by giving the medal to Soros, then Trump should play tougher and take it back,” Bannon said. “This is about standing up for the country and showing that we won’t accept someone like Soros being honored.”
