Biden Attorney Dana Remus Who Had Obama Officiate Her Wedding, Departed White House Soon After GOP Senators Found a Second Pseudonym Email Assigned to Joe Biden
The top dollar attorney who was Joe Biden’s top attorney is now representing him in the document scandal.
It turns out, Obama even received a temporary license to officiate her wedding.
Attorney Dana Remus worked for both Obama and Biden. She worked in Obama’s personal office and she was general counsel for the Obama Foundation. As a matter of fact, she was even married by Obama in January 2018.
Brides often worry about their bridesmaids upstaging them on their big day. For Dana Remus, general counsel for the Obama Foundation and Obama’s personal office, the bridesmaids were the least of her worries: former President Barack Obama served as the officiant at her wedding.
This past Sunday, January 21, in a small wedding of approximately 120 people at District Winery, the president wed Remus and Brett Holmgren, who also worked with Obama at the White House, both as the special assistant to the President and the senior director for intelligence programs on the National Security Council Staff.
The Daily Mail reported on Obama officiating the couple’s marriage and said:
Obama reportedly earned a temporary officiant’s license through the city government and signed the couple’s wedding certificate.
According to the Covington law firm, where she recently joined, her history begins with Obama and continues under Biden:
Dana joined Covington after serving as Assistant to the President and White House Counsel for President Biden. In this role, Dana led the administration’s efforts to confirm Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first African-American woman on the U.S. Supreme Court. In the first year of the administration, she also assisted President Biden in confirming more lower-court judges than any President since John F. Kennedy—the majority of whom are racially, ethnically, or gender diverse. As White House Counsel, Dana also advised on a range of matters and policy initiatives, including the administration’s covid strategy; voting rights; high-profile congressional investigations, including the January 6th Committee; and immigration reform.

Prior to serving as White House Counsel, Dana led the Biden-Harris campaign’s legal team as General Counsel. In the Obama administration, she served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Counsel for ethics and following the administration, she served as General Counsel of the Obama Foundation, and General Counsel of the personal office of President and Mrs. Obama.
What isn’t mentioned is that Remus was contacted by GOP Senators who were looking into the fake emails used by the Bidens when cutting deals. In June 2022 another email popped up. The Tennesee Star reported:
In July 2021, the senators requested information from Dana A. Remus, then-Counsel to the President, on reports that Biden, as vice president, used a non-government email for official business, including the transmission of government information to his son, Hunter Biden. After the White House failed to respond for nearly a year, Johnson and Grassley pressed the administration again in June 2022 after the discovery of an additional non-government email pseudonym associated with Joe Biden
“I can say that the Biden/ Harris Administration recognizes and understand the federal records laws,” Sauber wrote in an email to the senators’ staff in response.
The senators disagree.
“Aside from your brief and vague email to our staff, the White House has failed to respond to our previous letters. In light of the recent news regarding the inappropriate storage of classified documents, the White House must immediately provide transparency relating to then-Vice President Biden’s archiving of records,” the senators wrote to Sauber.
In July, Remus left the top job at the White House. She announced leaving in June 2022 and it was reported that”
In the short term, a White House official said Remus plans to spend more time with her husband and toddler son.
Remus’s departure occurred at around the same time Biden removed his taxes from his website which was within the same time period that the FBI unlawfully raided President Trump’s home to obtain documents in an unprecedented and unnecessary move
Now Remus is representing Joe Biden as a representative to the Archives for his vice presidential records. CBS reports that she is one of a few attorneys helping Biden.
Longtime Democratic lawyer Bob Bauer is serving as the personal attorney for President Biden in the classified documents matter now before a Justice Department special counsel, the White House confirmed Friday.
Bauer has been the primary point of contact between the Biden camp and the Justice Department during the initial investigation, which began in November, CBS News has learned.
He served as White House counsel for President Barack Obama and as a top attorney in the 2020 Biden campaign. His wife, Anita Dunn, is a senior adviser to Mr. Biden and widely considered inside and outside the West Wing as poised to become the first woman to be White House chief of staff.
Bauer is also listed as Obama’s representative to the National Archives, the designee for document requests and matters that may arise with the former president’s papers.
Multiple calls, emails and text messages to Bauer were not returned this week.
Recent filings with the National Archives name three partners at D.C. law firm Covington and Burling as Biden’s representatives to the Archives for his vice presidential records: Dana Remus, former Biden White House counsel, Biden campaign attorney Robert Lenhard and James Garland, a former Obama-era Justice Department official.
Their roles in the documents matter is unclear. Multiple calls and emails to Remus, Lenhard and Garland since Monday have gone unanswered.
Remus is intimately familiar with recent legal events involving the president. As the top White House lawyer, she shepherded the Supreme Court nomination of Katanji Brown Jackson and the selection of dozens of Mr. Biden’s other federal judicial nominees. She previously served as top lawyer on the Biden-Harris presidential campaign
What is it that Biden is trying to cover up? Does it have something to do with the fake emails that he used outside of the government email system?
