Biden Sends Another $2.5 Billion to Ukraine – On Top of Last Week’s $1.25 Billion, The Reason Will Shock You
The Biden administration has announced another $2.5 billion in aid for Ukraine.
This new package includes $1.25 billion in military equipment for Ukraine and an additional $1.22 billion under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
Critics suggest this move may escalate the conflict between Russia and Ukraine before President Biden leaves office.
The announcement, made early Monday on the White House website, highlighted Biden’s commitment to supporting Ukraine. A statement from the administration explained:
“I’ve directed my team to send assistance to Ukraine as quickly as possible. This includes using older U.S. military equipment, delivering it to Ukraine’s battlefield, and replenishing our stockpiles with new weapons.
The Department of Defense is supplying Ukraine with artillery rounds, rockets, and armored vehicles to prepare for the winter. The U.S. will continue supporting Ukraine for the remainder of my term.”
This announcement comes just days after Biden approved another $1.25 billion in aid for Ukraine. Earlier this month, the administration also approved a controversial $20 billion loan to Ukraine using frozen Russian assets, a move many called risky and unprecedented.
In September, during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit, Biden pledged $8 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Americans are facing economic challenges, rising inflation, and a worsening border crisis. Since Russia’s invasion, Congress has approved $175 billion in aid for Ukraine.
Critics are counting down to January 20th, hoping for change.
