Donald Trump continues to take away major rights from Democrats after claiming Joe Biden ‘could not be trusted

Earlier this week, Donald Trump announced that he would take away former President Joe Biden’s security clearance and access to daily intelligence updates.

Trump claimed that Biden “cannot be trusted” with sensitive information. He shared this on his Truth Social platform, saying, “There is no reason for Joe Biden to keep getting access to classified information.”

Trump also said that Biden did something similar to him when Biden became president in 2021. At that time, Biden stopped Trump from receiving intelligence briefings, which was unusual for a former president.

Trump wrote, “Biden told the Intelligence Community to block me from getting national security details, even though former presidents usually get this access.

The Hur Report showed that Biden has ‘poor memory’ and couldn’t be trusted with important information, even in his best years. I will always protect our national security.”

Back then, Biden explained that Trump’s “unpredictable behavior” was the reason for this decision.

He questioned, “What’s the point of giving him intelligence briefings? What influence does he have, except maybe accidentally revealing something?”

Now, Trump is reportedly planning to remove security clearances from several other Democrats. One of them is Antony Blinken, who used to be the Secretary of State.

Trump told The New York Post, “Bad guy. Take away his passes.” He added that this move is meant to strip these officials of certain rights, like entering federal buildings.

Other Democrats on the list include New York Attorney General Letitia James, who sued Trump for fraud last year, and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who also prosecuted Trump.

Removing their security clearances could limit their ability to perform certain tasks or enter places like prisons or courthouses. However, some experts, like lawyer Bob Costello, say this is more of an insult than a serious restriction.

Other names on the list include Biden’s former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, former Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, prosecutor Andrew Weissman, lawyer Mark Zaid, and Norm Eisen, who worked with the House Judiciary Committee during Trump’s impeachment.
