Donald Trump gives shock response after being asked whether he would pardon Diddy if found guilty

Donald Trump was asked a surprising question recently: if Sean “Diddy” Combs is found guilty of sex trafficking and other serious crimes, would Trump consider giving him a pardon?

Diddy, a famous music producer and rapper, is on trial right now in New York. He’s facing five big criminal charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and helping move people across state lines for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all of it.

The trial is ongoing, and it’s already included dramatic stories from people like his ex-girlfriend Cassie, who says he abused her for years. Even rapper Kid Cudi testified, saying Diddy might’ve been involved in his car being blown up in 2012. Another witness, known only as “The Punisher,” talked about strange and disturbing encounters.

In the middle of all this, Trump was holding a press event when a reporter asked him if he would pardon Diddy—if he’s convicted. The reporter reminded Trump that he and Diddy used to be friendly, especially around 2012. Photos from years ago even show Trump, Melania, and Diddy together at events.

Trump’s answer was interesting. He said no one had officially asked him to consider it, but he thinks some people are wondering about it. He admitted he hasn’t been watching the trial very closely and hasn’t spoken to Diddy in years. He said Diddy used to like him, but their relationship probably faded once Trump entered politics.

Then Trump said something that caught people’s attention. He explained that he doesn’t base his decisions on whether someone is his friend or not. He said that if he ever thinks someone was treated unfairly, he would still consider helping them—even if they don’t like him. He said, “Whether they like me or don’t like me, it wouldn’t have any impact on me.”

Trump’s comment came shortly after he gave pardons to other celebrities. He pardoned Todd and Julie Chrisley, stars of a reality show, who were in prison for tax fraud and other financial crimes. He also pardoned rapper NBA Youngboy, who was facing gun charges. After the pardon, NBA Youngboy thanked Trump publicly and said it gave him a chance to grow and keep being a good father and artist.

So far, Trump hasn’t said he would definitely pardon Diddy. But he also hasn’t ruled it out. He said he’d need to look into what really happened before making a decision. For now, Diddy’s trial continues, and the public is waiting to see what the jury decides—and what Trump might do next.
