Donald Trump issues furious response after Joe Biden speaks out on him for first time since leaving office
Donald Trump strongly criticized President Joe Biden, calling him the worst president in U.S. history. Trump made the comment in an early morning post on Truth Social after Biden gave his first public speech since leaving the White House.
Biden spoke at a conference in Chicago focused on disability advocacy. During his speech, he talked about how Social Security benefits were put at risk during Trump’s time in office. He said that some Republicans in Congress wanted Social Security to be reviewed every five years, which could lead to cuts or even ending the program if not re-approved by Congress. Biden expressed frustration and questioned who would suggest such a plan, although he didn’t mention Trump by name.
Even though Biden didn’t directly say Trump’s name, Trump didn’t hold back. In his Truth Social post, he blamed Biden for letting many criminals, including murderers and drug dealers, enter the country because of what he described as weak border policies. He claimed that under Biden’s leadership, people from prisons and mental institutions from other countries were coming into the U.S. He said it was his responsibility to remove these people and that this was part of his promise to the American people.
Earlier this week, Trump also talked about possibly deporting violent criminals who are U.S. citizens, if there’s a legal way to do it. His press secretary said that Trump is serious about removing dangerous people, no matter their citizenship.
In another post, Trump went after former President Barack Obama, who had supported Harvard University after Trump cut off more than $2 billion in funding to the school. Trump said Harvard had become too focused on left-wing ideas and was hiring people he called “radical” and not qualified to teach. He accused the school of promoting hate and failure instead of real education. Trump said because of that, Harvard didn’t deserve federal funding anymore.
