Donald Trump ‘may not last 4 years due to cognitive decline’, Republican advisor claims

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump’s doctor gave him a clean bill of health, saying he was doing great both physically and mentally. But despite that official statement, some political experts are raising serious concerns. They believe Trump may be dealing with more than the public is being told, and some even think he might be showing early signs of mental decline.

Rick Wilson, a well-known Republican political strategist and co-founder of the Lincoln Project, said in an interview that Trump’s behavior has noticeably changed. He pointed out that compared to how Trump was in 2015, or even during his 2020 campaign, the Trump people see now seems very different. According to Rick, Trump struggles to express his thoughts clearly, often going off-topic or losing track of what he’s saying. He mentioned that Trump’s speech is sometimes jumbled, with long pauses or mixed-up words, which are symptoms experts often link to cognitive issues in older adults.

Rick said it’s not just him noticing these signs. He claimed that many professionals—especially those who understand mental health and aging—see similar warning signs in Trump. Although no medical proof has been made public, some believe his behavior fits with what they typically observe in the early stages of dementia.

Even though the White House doctor, Captain Sean Barbabella, wrote in April that Trump was in “excellent” health with no signs of problems in his heart, lungs, brain, or general condition, critics say that one test or report doesn’t automatically mean everything is fine. Rick sarcastically commented that being able to point to a drawing of an elephant on a test doesn’t mean someone isn’t struggling with aging or deeper health issues.

This isn’t the first time Trump’s health has raised eyebrows. Earlier this year, some experts talked about his noticeable weight loss and questioned what might be behind it. At 78, Trump is the same age Joe Biden was when he became president in 2021, and with age comes more scrutiny.

Meanwhile, new revelations from a book by journalist Jake Tapper—focused on Joe Biden’s health struggles—have led some to ask whether Trump might also be facing similar behind-the-scenes issues. Even with the White House insisting he’s healthy, more people are beginning to wonder if we’re getting the full truth about his mental and physical condition.
