Donald Trump Says Losing 2024 Elections Would Have Been ‘Very Dangerous’ for Him Because Of This Shocking Reason

On February 19, 2025, Donald Trump admitted that winning the 2024 election saved him from a very difficult life. He said, “If I lost, it would have been very bad. It was dangerous, actually very dangerous.”

He was referring to the legal troubles he was facing and how losing to Kamala Harris would have made things worse for him. He also said, “They were going after me at levels nobody’s ever seen before.” This suggested that he believed the legal cases against him were unusually aggressive.

Trump also added, “Nobody was treated like me. Nobody. And I will tell you, you learn a lot about yourself.” At the time, he was facing four separate legal cases, with dozens of criminal charges.

After Trump won the election in November, two of the federal cases against him were dropped by the Justice Department. In addition, a Manhattan judge dismissed his hush money case, allowing him to walk free from all charges.

Special Counsel Jack Smith had previously stated that there was strong evidence against Trump in the case related to interference in the 2020 election. However, after Trump’s victory in 2024, the case was dropped.

Smith’s report indicated that if Trump had lost, he could have faced several years in prison. Meanwhile, there is still an ongoing case in Georgia where he is accused of trying to overturn the election results, but it is currently on hold.

During a conference in Miami, Trump was asked how he would spend his time if he had a year off. Instead of answering directly, he talked about how his current job as president saved his life in many ways.

He said, “What I’m doing now is the most exciting job in the world. It’s a hard job, not an easy job, it’s a nasty job.” This shows that he values his position, not only for the protection it gives him but also for the power that comes with it.

Trump also mentioned Fox News host Sean Hannity, who had interviewed him and Elon Musk a few days earlier. According to Trump, Hannity had joked with him before the interview about how different his life would have been if he had lost.

He recalled Hannity saying, “Boy, if you would have lost, you would have had a tough life, you would have had a very tough life.”

Although many people had speculated about this, it was the first time Trump openly admitted how important the election win was for him. Since taking office, he had mostly avoided discussing the impact of the election on his legal troubles, but with these statements, he made it clear that he was fully aware of the advantages that came with his victory.
