US president is pushing for an end to the Ukraine war, with Kyiv already indicating it will accept a 30-day ceasefire.
Donald Trump has warned Vladimir Putin he is ready to do “very bad things” to Russia financially if he does not accept a ceasefire in the war with Ukraine.
The US President told reporters in Washington: “There are things that wouldn’t be pleasant in a financial sense. I can do things financially that would be very bad for Russia. I don’t want to do it that because I want to get peace.
“In a financial sense, yes we could do things that would be very bad for Russia, that would be devastating for Russia. But I don’t want to do that.”
