On Monday’s episode of Outnumbered, some guests strongly supported the idea of adding former President Donald Trump’s face to Mount Rushmore, while others suggested honoring him in a different way.
Harris Faulkner started the discussion by saying that just one week into Trump’s second term, some conservatives are already pushing to have his face added to the famous monument. Fox contributor Jason Chaffetz agreed, saying, “If there’s space, it would be great. Trump has transformed the U.S. by putting America first, and people love it. It makes sense to honor him this way.”
Kayleigh McEnany added, “It would be ironic, especially since President Biden stopped the Mount Rushmore fireworks. Having Trump’s face there for the country’s 250th anniversary would be epic. There’s also a petition to rename Dulles Airport to Donald Trump International Airport, which would be a big deal in D.C.”
Emily Compagno shared a different view, saying she doesn’t like Mount Rushmore because she dislikes carving faces into mountains. Instead, she suggested putting Trump’s face on currency or renaming Dulles Airport.
Lisa Boothe raised practical concerns, saying, “The National Park Service has studied this and says the mountain can’t support more carvings. So it might not even be possible. But I fully support renaming Dulles Airport after Trump. It makes sense, especially since Reagan has an airport in D.C. too. Both presidents faced tough economies and global instability but turned things around successfully.”
In summary, while some guests loved the idea of adding Trump to Mount Rushmore, others preferred alternative honors like renaming Dulles Airport or putting his face on money. Practical issues with the mountain’s structure were also mentioned.
