Elizabeth Warren Marks Trump’s 100 Days With Savage Recap: Reads 100 Corruption Reports Out Loud

Senator Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts is getting ready to give a big speech in the Senate. In it, she plans to talk about how she believes former President Donald Trump has been using his second time in office to help himself and his rich friends make money, instead of helping regular Americans like he promised.
Trump has been back in the White House for 100 days, and Warren says that during that time, he’s already done 100 things that she believes are dishonest or corrupt. She plans to read all of them out loud in the Senate so they become part of the official congressional record, which means they’ll be written down and kept as a permanent record of what she says happened.
When Trump ran for president again, he told voters he would lower their everyday costs right away, starting on his first day in office. But Warren says he didn’t do that at all. Instead, she says he used his power to make things easier for himself, his top government officials, and a group of wealthy people who support him. She believes these people are taking advantage of their positions to get richer while regular people are still struggling.
In her speech, Warren plans to give specific examples of what she calls corruption. She says Trump has turned the White House into a kind of business for his own benefit. For example, she claims he’s promoting Tesla cars from the White House, which could help his friends or people he has business ties with. She also says that instead of the government paying for events like the White House Easter Egg Roll, Trump got companies to sponsor it—companies that want favors from the government. She says that’s not right, because it looks like those companies are paying for access or special treatment.
Warren also says Trump has gone after former officials who told the truth about the 2020 election and didn’t support his false claims about it being stolen. She says he’s using his power to punish people who disagree with him.
Another example Warren plans to mention is how Trump helped his son start a private club where people can pay $500,000 to meet and talk with top government officials, including members of Trump’s Cabinet. That means only very wealthy people can get that kind of access. She also says Trump held private, expensive dinners between big drug company leaders and the man he chose to run the Health Department, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. She believes that’s a big conflict of interest and could lead to decisions that help companies instead of patients.
One of the most shocking things she plans to talk about is a new cryptocurrency Trump launched right before he returned to office. She says he made millions of dollars from it, and then encouraged people to keep buying it by promising a private dinner with whoever spends the most money on the coin. To Warren, that looks like he’s selling access to the president to the highest bidder.
Warren believes all these things are examples of Trump using the presidency not to serve the American people, but to make himself and his friends richer and more powerful. She says she’s going to list every single example so that people know what’s happening, and so it’s all on the public record. The White House hasn’t responded yet to what Warren plans to say, but she’s expected to start reading her speech around 8:15 p.m. Eastern time.
