Elon Musk drops ‘really big bomb,’ accuses Trump of being in Epstein files as public brawl escalates

Elon Musk took to social media on Thursday and made serious accusations against former President Donald Trump. In a series of heated posts, Musk claimed that Trump is hiding the truth about his connection to Jeffrey Epstein, the wealthy financier who was arrested for sex trafficking and had links to many powerful and influential people before his death. According to Musk, Trump has kept certain files and documents about Epstein from being made public because they contain damaging information about himself.
Musk’s comments came after several hours of criticizing Trump online. Eventually, he wrote that it was time to reveal a major secret and directly accused Trump of being listed in the Epstein files. He tagged Trump’s official account and said, “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files,” implying that Trump had a deeper connection to Epstein than what has been publicly acknowledged. Musk seemed to be calling for transparency, suggesting that the real reason certain documents haven’t been released is because they would reveal Trump’s involvement.
Just hours before Musk posted this, Trump had made a public threat to end federal subsidies that benefit Tesla, Musk’s electric car company. This may have added fuel to the fire and triggered Musk’s harsh response. In one of his posts, Musk hinted that Trump’s threat was connected to his desire to keep the Epstein files out of the public eye. Musk sarcastically ended one message by saying, “Have a nice day, DJT,” clearly mocking Trump while using his initials.
The connection between Trump and Epstein is not new. The two men were seen together frequently in the 1990s, attending the same parties and social events. There are photos and videos showing them laughing and talking at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida resort. Over the years, various books and documents related to Epstein’s life and crimes have surfaced, including lists of people he was in contact with. Trump’s name has appeared in some of these records, raising questions about how close their relationship really was and what Trump may have known.
Musk’s comments are significant because he is one of the most high-profile public figures in the world, and making such direct accusations against a former president draws major attention. His statements could increase public pressure to release the full contents of the Epstein files and shine more light on who knew what — and when. Whether anything further comes from these claims remains to be seen, but the clash between Musk and Trump has certainly reignited interest in the Epstein case and the powerful people who may have been involved.
