Elon Musk’s dad says son made ‘silly mistake’ when he made bombshell claim Trump is in Epstein files

Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, believes his son made a big mistake when he hinted that Donald Trump might be involved in the Epstein scandal. He described it as a “silly mistake” and said it seemed more like two powerful men clashing, comparing it to “alpha males or elephant bulls fighting.”
Elon posted on his social media platform X, claiming that Trump’s name is in the Epstein files and that’s why they haven’t been released. The post quickly went viral, getting over a million likes. Elon added a comment saying, “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.” Errol Musk, however, thinks Elon may have been reacting emotionally and not thinking things through. He said that when someone goes through a lot of stress, it’s common to lash out, even at high levels. He also mentioned that he had sent Elon a message asking him to let the feud calm down.
Errol described the fight between his son and Trump as a typical power struggle between two strong personalities and predicted it would pass soon. He added that no one involved is completely innocent. He had just finished a three-week trip to the U.S. and claimed that almost everyone he spoke to supported Trump, though he didn’t give details about where he traveled or how he got that impression.
The tension between Elon Musk and Trump started when Elon criticized Trump’s massive government spending bill, which removed a $7,500 tax credit for buying electric vehicles. This credit helped boost sales of electric cars, including Tesla’s. Trump later fired back on his social platform, and the back-and-forth continued for hours with name-calling, sarcasm, and memes online. Trump suggested that Elon was upset because the bill cut funding that helped Tesla and accused Elon of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He said Elon used to support the bill and only became critical after leaving the administration.
Trump told reporters during a meeting with the German Chancellor that he was disappointed in Elon, saying Musk had helped create the bill and knew all about it. He even accused Elon of turning on him only after losing access to the money. Trump also said that Elon once recommended someone to lead NASA, but the person was a Democrat, so Trump rejected the idea, which he believes added to Musk’s anger.
Meanwhile, Elon responded live on X, saying that the bill was never shown to him, and claimed it was rushed through Congress so quickly that no one had time to read it. He criticized Trump for being ungrateful, saying that without his help, Trump would’ve lost the election. Elon said Democrats would have controlled the House and the Republicans would have had fewer Senate seats.
Trump hit back with a series of angry posts on Truth Social. He said he asked Elon to leave his administration and removed the EV mandate because it was forcing people to buy cars they didn’t want. He also threatened to cancel Musk’s government contracts and accused him of going “crazy” after being let go. Trump added that the bill was one of the greatest in U.S. history and that without it, taxes would go up by 68%. He said he didn’t cause the country’s problems but was working to fix them.
Elon’s final and most serious jab was when he directly accused Trump of being in the Epstein files and said that’s why the documents haven’t been made public. He signed off with “Have a nice day, DJT,” adding fuel to the fire. Musk also hinted at possibly canceling the SpaceX Dragon program, though he hasn’t officially confirmed any action.
The whole situation has now turned into a messy and very public feud between two of the world’s most powerful and influential men, and people around the globe are watching closely to see what happens next.
