Epstein emails bombshell opens the door for MAGA to turn ‘fire’ on Trump: reporter

The New York Times recently reported on three emails written by Jeffrey Epstein, and these messages suggest that Donald Trump may have known about Epstein’s behavior toward young girls.

This has caused some people in the media to wonder whether frustration that has been focused on officials like Attorney General Pam Bondi might eventually start shifting toward Trump himself. MSNBC reporter Ken Dilanian discussed this idea during an appearance on “Morning Joe,” where the hosts read parts of the emails aloud.

In one of Epstein’s emails, he directly claimed that Trump “knew about the girls,” some of whom were later discovered to be underage. In another email, Epstein seemed worried about how he should respond if journalists asked him about his relationship with Trump, especially at a time when Trump was rising in national politics.

These emails don’t prove anything on their own, but they add more pieces to a complicated story that many people are still trying to understand. Dilanian pointed out that Epstein was a liar and manipulator, so his words can’t be accepted as fact without evidence. Still, he said the emails offer details that help fill in gaps about how close Epstein and Trump were, whether Trump spent time at Epstein’s home, and what Trump may have known.

When the conversation turned to politics, Dilanian said the situation could become a growing problem for Trump within his own political base. Many people in the MAGA movement have long believed there was a huge cover-up involving Epstein and powerful people.

For years, they pointed fingers at government agencies and claimed that important information was being hidden. But now the documents and evidence are mostly controlled by the Trump administration itself. Despite that, these supporters have not blamed Trump directly. Instead, they’ve been furious at people like Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, accusing them of standing in the way and refusing to release more Epstein-related files.

Even though the Justice Department has said it will not release any more documents, the issue isn’t going away. It remains an emotional and deeply political topic. Dilanian said the real question now is whether these emails, or any new information that might come out later, will cause Trump’s own supporters to question him.

They may begin to ask why he hasn’t pushed for more transparency, what he might know that they don’t, and whether he is choosing to keep certain details hidden. This could create tension inside his political movement, especially among people who have always believed that the truth about Epstein is being covered up by someone in power.
