Sierra Swearingen, 19, was born with mole-like birthmarks all over her body due to a diagnosis of giant congenital melanocytic nevus, a rare condition affecting one in every 500,000 individuals globally.
Born in Rockwell, North Carolina, Sierra lived with these birthmarks covering more than two-thirds of her body, the largest extending from her navel to her lower thighs and beyond.
Facing hurtful comments from both children and adults since she was young, she has developed a positive attitude toward her uncommon skin condition.
