NBA legend Michael Jordan is one of the most popular sports personalities in the world. But he likes to keep a very low profile in the public domain. However, Jordan’s name recently got dragged into the media after he reportedly became the victim of a crime. Law enforcement authorities had to get involved as well.

With everything that he has achieved, it is tough to imagine that there’s something even the great Michael Jordan can’t do. However, there is one thing that made a hefty $14 million dent in His Airness’ massive $2.2 billion empire.

Yesterday it was reported by several media outlets that someone had broken into Jordan’s Chicago mansion. The reports said that an 18-year-old named Raiden Hagerdorn was arrested by law enforcement authorities over charges of trespassing.

Other than criminal trespass, the teenager was also charged with 2 counts of criminal damage to the property. Police officials were alerted after Jordan’s neighbors suspected some unusual activity inside the property premises. No other harm was caused since MJ and his family do not live on that property anymore.

Although, the property has been on the market for over 13 years now, the 60-year-old has been looking for potential buyers and is yet to make a final deal. The luxury mansion is personalized as per the NBA legend’s taste and is valued at slightly over $14 million. The lavish mansion was also used for the video shoot of the song ‘Franchise’ by rapper Travis Scott. With all the history attached to it, the property is yet to meet its new owners.

Although, interest in buyers rekindled after the Netflix documentary The Last Dance was released back in 2020.

Michael Jordan is also known for his smart business acumen. However, he is finding it difficult to sell two of his expensive purchases. It is not just the mansion that Jordan is looking to let go of, he is also finding potential buyers for his team the Charlotte Hornets. The 14x NBA All-Star owns the majority stake in the Hornets, the team is valued at $1.7 billion. Although, his Chicago mansion is the one that stings the most as the property has gone without a buyer for over 13 years.

Jordan has not lived in his mansion since 2012. Some of the features of the facility include nine bedrooms, a cigar room, a pool, a tennis court, and 19 baths. It also includes a full-size basketball court
