Houston Dad Charged With Murder After Missing 2-Year-Old Daughter Found In Bayou Just Days After He Allegedly Choked Her Mom To Death
Authorities in suburban Houston have found the body of a two-year-old girl whose father is accused of murdering his common-law wife.
Medical examiners confirmed to KRIV-TV Sunday that remains found in a bayou are those of Nadia Lee. The cause of her death has not been determined.
“I am in the process of grieving and mourning right now,” grandmother Nora Reed told the Houston Chronicle.
Houston Police reports say Jyron Lee, 26, was arrested at a hotel on October 19, 2022, on charges of choking his 22-year-old common-law wife, Nancy Reed. She died at a hospital. Two other girls in the hotel room were unharmed.
Then in early December 2022, he was charged with the capital murder of young Nadia Lee.
But the girl’s body was missing for months. Detectives suspected Jyron Lee injured and murdered her in Pasadena, Texas.
Among other clues, detectives say, Lee did an online search for the words, “How long it takes for a dead body to smell.”
Authorities in Pasadena searched a bayou on Monday, March 20 and found the girl’s body.
