Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel found a way to make things even more embarrassing for President Trump after the whole “TACO” situation.
Kimmel joked about how Trump keeps changing his mind on tariffs—putting them in place, then backing down. Because of that pattern, some investors have come up with the nickname “TACO,” which stands for “Trump Always Chickens Out.” It’s a way to make fun of how Trump often makes big threats about tariffs, shakes up the markets, and then reverses course.
Kimmel told his audience that Trump clearly doesn’t like the nickname. “You’re not gonna believe this,” he said, “He doesn’t like it at all.” He mentioned how Trump got angry when a reporter brought it up, calling her question “nasty.”
Kimmel said the nickname is actually catching on, and to add to the joke, he showed some internet memes comparing Trump to a chicken and playing off the “TACO” name.
Then Kimmel took things a step further. He pointed out that Trump has made fun of people with nicknames for years—so it’s probably not so fun being on the receiving end. “How does it feel to be on the other end of the nickname game?” he asked. “Not great, does it?”
To top it all off, Kimmel played a parody of the song Macho Man by the Village People—one of Trump’s favorite rally songs. The new version was called Taco Man, and it came with a funny video to go along with the joke. Kimmel said this was the perfect way to make the moment even more uncomfortable for Trump.
