Is She Drunk? Nancy Pelosi Sparks Questions with Slurred Words and Half-Closed Eyes in Shocking Video!
Nancy Pelosi, the 84-year-old former House Speaker, sparked concern and raised eyebrows after posting a peculiar video on social media platform X on Thursday. In the video, she announced her plans to head to Washington, D.C., to represent her San Francisco constituents and share what she called “San Francisco values.”
However, her appearance and speech in the video led many to question her condition. Pelosi, who recently underwent hip replacement surgery, appeared visibly strained. Her eyes were barely open, and she slurred her words as she said, “Hi, it’s Nancy. I’m on my way to Washington to proudly represent the people of San Francisco in Congress. I’m honored to do so to share our San Francisco values.”
Critics were quick to ridicule her reference to “San Francisco values,” equating them to the city’s challenges such as homelessness, open drug use, and increasing retail theft.
Pelosi’s recent health struggles have been well-documented. Earlier this month, while on a bipartisan congressional delegation (CODEL) trip to Luxembourg, she suffered a serious fall on a marble staircase, fracturing her hip. The injury required immediate medical attention, and she was hospitalized at Hospital Kirchberg in Luxembourg before being transported to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center at the U.S. Army Base in Germany for surgery.
The Defense Department provided medevac support for Pelosi’s transfer. Her office later expressed gratitude to the medical staff in both locations for their exceptional care.
Representative Michael McCaul, who was with Pelosi at the time of the incident, shed light on the cause of her fall. He explained that Pelosi was wearing her signature high heels as she descended a marble staircase that lacked a railing. “She likes to wear very high heels,” McCaul said. “She was on one of her last steps when she lost her footing and fell to the ground. I immediately helped pick her up.”
Despite the injury, Pelosi posed for a photo shortly after the fall before heading to the hospital. This incident forced her to cancel the remainder of her scheduled engagements during the trip.
The video, combined with her recent hospitalization, has reignited discussions about Pelosi’s physical fitness to continue serving in Congress. Her slurred speech and seemingly disoriented demeanor in the video added to the speculation about her recovery and overall health.
At 84, Pelosi remains a prominent figure in American politics, but her recent health setbacks highlight the challenges faced by aging lawmakers in physically demanding roles.
