Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett seems to be embracing her growing popularity. Recently, she briefly shared a video featuring a fan-made song that praised her as a future leader.
The song called her a strong voice for the people and someone who fights for justice. It included lines like, “Jasmine Crockett, she rises with the dawn. Fighting for justice, her light will never be gone” and “Leader of the future, she’s breaking all the chains.” The video used lightly animated photos of Crockett, possibly made with AI, and ended with her speaking at a recent House hearing.
This video showed up on Crockett’s Instagram Story and on her Reels page. Stories usually disappear after 24 hours. The video was credited to her official congressional Instagram account along with another account that seems to focus on AI-generated music clips. According to her Instagram bio, her team usually posts content unless the letters “CWC” are included, which stand for her initials. It looks like she shared the video but didn’t create it herself.
Fox News Digital reached out to ask whether Crockett had any role in the making of the video. Shortly after that, the video was no longer visible on her page.
Another part of the song described her as a “beacon of hope” and a “Democratic champion,” adding that “no MAGA could silence the truth she displays.” The video seemed to reflect how some of her supporters view her as a bold, passionate figure who speaks up for regular people.
Crockett has gained attention from progressive supporters ever since she became more prominent about two years ago. She’s known for being outspoken, which has sometimes caused friction with Republican lawmakers. Some of her comments have been seen as crossing the line of what’s considered respectful behavior in Congress.
In March, she stirred controversy by calling Texas Governor Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels,” a reference to his use of a wheelchair. She later said she didn’t mean to bring attention to his disability, though she didn’t apologize.
Crockett also made headlines during a heated exchange at a House Oversight Committee meeting last year. After Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene mocked her for wearing false eyelashes, Crockett hit back by mocking Greene’s appearance, calling her a “bleach blonde bad built butch body.” Crockett even tried to trademark that phrase afterward.
