JD Vance throws ‘temper tantrum like 5-year-old’ as he slams ‘idiots’ after protest derails ski vacation

Vice President JD Vance has been accused of acting like a child after he angrily responded to protesters who disrupted his family’s ski vacation in Vermont. Over the weekend, Vance and his family were met by hundreds of protesters at the Sugarbush Resort in Waitsfield, Vermont. The protesters called him a “national disgrace” and told him to “go ski in Russia,” following a tense meeting in the Oval Office where Vance criticized Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Despite claiming he “barely noticed” the protesters, Vance admitted that his family had to move to a different hotel for more privacy and cut their four-day trip short. He later posted on social media, calling the protesters “idiots” and saying they had a great time in Vermont. He also shared a New York Post headline about the incident, which he claimed was exaggerated.
Critics quickly called out Vance for his reaction, saying he was acting immaturely. One person commented that Vance’s response was like a “temper tantrum” and questioned his emotional maturity, especially for someone who is a heartbeat away from the presidency. Others pointed out that Vance’s claims didn’t match the facts—he did move hotels, and the protests did happen.
Some accused Vance of lying about not noticing the protesters, who were carrying large signs supporting Ukraine. Videos from the scene showed that the protests were hard to miss. The demonstrations grew after Vance’s clash with Zelensky in the Oval Office, where Vance criticized the Ukrainian leader for not being grateful enough for U.S. aid in Ukraine’s fight against Russia. President Donald Trump also accused Zelensky of risking World War III by not making a deal with Russia.
