Joe Rogan has warning for Trump and fears ‘we will become monsters’ as he defends father deported to ‘world’s worst prison

Joe Rogan, who supported Donald Trump during his campaign just six months ago, is now criticizing him again. This time, Rogan is speaking out about a serious mistake made by the Trump administration, where a father from Maryland was wrongly deported to one of the harshest prisons in the world, located in El Salvador.
The man, Kilmar Armando Ábrego García, was sent to the Center for Terrorism Confinement (CECOT) along with 250 other people accused of crimes. But the government later admitted it was a mistake caused by an administrative error. Despite this, Trump posted a picture on his social media platform, Truth Social, suggesting García had gang tattoos on his hand—specifically the letters “MS-13.” However, the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, released a photo showing García’s hand without any such tattoos, raising doubts about Trump’s claim.
Rogan talked about the situation on his podcast, saying it’s a serious problem when someone is punished without proper legal process. He quoted Benjamin Franklin, who said it’s better for 100 guilty people to go free than for one innocent person to suffer. Rogan agreed with that idea, saying due process is there to protect people from being wrongly accused and punished.
He warned that if we stop caring about whether someone is actually guilty or not, we lose our humanity. He even quoted the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, saying that when you fight evil, you have to be careful not to become evil yourself. Rogan believes that if we ignore these principles, we risk becoming what we claim to fight against.
This isn’t the first time Rogan has spoken out about Trump’s handling of deportations. He also raised concerns just days before this mistake came to light.
