‘No One Has Ever!’: Jimmy Kimmel Trolls Trump By Exposing His ‘Ultimate’ Move

Jimmy Kimmel took a jab at former President Donald Trump during his late-night show, pointing out what he sees as a familiar tactic: delaying decisions by promising action “in two weeks.” Kimmel joked that Trump seems to always say things will happen in two weeks, especially when he’s under pressure to make a major decision—like when he was weighing military action against Iran.

Kimmel mocked Trump’s habit of setting vague deadlines, calling his latest warning to Iran the “ultimate ultimatum,” which he said sounds like a dramatic, made-up term. He added that Trump seems to enjoy making threats, especially when he can attach a timeline to them—even if nothing ever happens when the time is up.

As part of the segment, Kimmel showed a montage of Trump making different promises over the years, all supposedly happening “in two weeks.” The video included Trump saying that things like new policies, executive actions, and even a health care plan would be ready in two weeks. The final clip in the montage was from July 2020, where Trump said he would be signing a new health care plan within two weeks. Kimmel reminded the audience that, years later, there’s still no sign of that plan.

The joke was that Trump, despite being famous for his TV catchphrase “You’re fired,” is the one person who gives more two-weeks’ notice than anyone else—yet almost never delivers on time. Kimmel used humor to highlight what he sees as a pattern of delay and empty promises from Trump, especially when it comes to big, complicated decisions.
