Ontario Premier Makes a Cruel Vow in Response to Trump’s Most Recent Tariffs on Canada: “We’re Gonna…Inflict as Much Pain as Possible on The American People” (VIDEO)

Ontario Premier Doug Ford is absolutely furious with former U.S. President Donald Trump over his latest move to slap heavy taxes on foreign cars and auto parts. Trump wants these steep tariffs—25% on imported vehicles like SUVs, trucks, and minivans, as well as critical parts like engines and transmissions—to force companies to bring jobs back to America.
Ford, who leads Canada’s most populous province, didn’t hold back his anger. During a press conference in Toronto, he lashed out, promising to hit back hard and make Americans suffer for Trump’s decision.
“Let me be clear,” Ford said. “If Trump thinks he can hurt Canadian workers and businesses with these tariffs, we’re going to make sure the U.S. feels the pain just as much—if not more.”
Trump’s new tariffs are part of a bigger plan to punish any country that taxes American goods. He’s even calling April 2—the day these tariffs kick in—“Liberation Day,” framing it as a win for U.S. jobs. But Ford and other Canadian leaders see it as an economic attack, and they’re ready to fight back.
The tension between Canada and the U.S. is heating up, and Ford’s fiery words suggest this trade battle is far from over. With both sides threatening to make life harder for the other, everyday consumers and workers could end up paying the price.
