He said the city was now facing violent mobs who were attacking agents and trying to stop the deportations. But according to Trump, these riots only made him more determined to act.

In his statement, he said he had instructed top officials—Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi—to work with other federal agencies and use any action necessary to take back control of the city. Trump promised that order would be restored, the migrants would be removed, and Los Angeles would be “set free.”
