President Donald Trump has surprised many people by strongly criticizing Russian President Vladimir Putin. This comes after a series of deadly rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities.
Trump made these comments while speaking to reporters just before getting on a plane at Morristown Airport, heading to Joint Base Andrews in Washington, D.C.
Trump seemed frustrated and emotional as he talked about the situation. He said he wasn’t happy at all with what Putin was doing. According to Trump, he had known Putin for many years and they had always gotten along.
But now, things have changed. Trump said he couldn’t understand what had happened to Putin and why he was acting this way. He was especially upset that innocent people were being killed because of these rocket attacks.
He said, “Putin is sending rockets into cities and killing people. I don’t like it at all. I’m shocked. Something happened to him.” Trump also said that while there were still talks happening behind the scenes, Putin was launching rockets into cities like Kyiv and others. He said this made the situation even more confusing and troubling for him.
Reporters asked Trump what actions he planned to take against Putin or Russia. Trump didn’t give a clear answer. Instead, he said, “We’ll see what we’re going to do.” He then turned to the media and added, “What, am I going to tell you? You’re fake news. You’re totally fake.”
This moment marks a big shift in Trump’s attitude towards Putin. In the past, Trump was often seen as being friendly or soft towards the Russian leader. But now, he is openly calling him out for the violence in Ukraine.
Trump’s comments show he is disappointed and angry about the way things are going, and it’s clear that the war in Ukraine is changing how he views his former ally.
