A video that quickly spread online shows a group of white men wearing the same biker vests attacking a Black man inside a bar in Indiana. They were caught yelling racist insults while beating him up. The vests they wore had the word “Outlaw” on them, which is the name of a well-known and dangerous biker gang.
This happened Friday night at a place called Pike’s Pub in Waynedale. The video shows the chaos inside the bar—drinks getting knocked over and people screaming as the violence broke out.
Police were called to the bar around 11 p.m. because someone there was reportedly drunk and causing problems. When officers arrived, the man who had been attacked didn’t want to give any details about who had hurt him. He was taken to a hospital, and police said he was in fair condition.
The owner of the bar, Kelley Rost, wasn’t there when everything happened. He later told reporters that the man who got attacked had refused to pay his bill, which may have started the fight. He also said, “There are two sides to every story.”
The men involved in the attack seemed to be members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. This group has a bad reputation in the area. In fact, back in 2013, two members from the Fort Wayne chapter were found guilty of crimes like selling prescription drugs and using threats to get money.
Since the fight, Pike’s Pub has shut down and taken down its social media pages. The event has caused a lot of anger in the community, especially among local leaders and people online. Some protesters gathered outside the bar, and even the mayor of Fort Wayne, Sharon Tucker, spoke out. She said the video was deeply upsetting and that she’s working with her team to understand what happened.
Police went back to the bar the next day to keep investigating. They’ve now handed the case over to the Criminal Investigations Division to look into it more thoroughly.
